Freeform Begins Production on The Deep
October 7, 2016 - Finding Carter
Production began this week in Vancouver on Freeform’s latest play commander The Deep (working title). The array is a one-hour play that takes us inside Bristol Cove, a coastal city famous for a fable of once being home to mermaids. When a attainment of a puzzling lady proves this folklore all too true, a conflict between male and sea takes a really infamous turn, as these rapacious beings lapse to retrieve their right to a ocean.
The Deep (working title) stars Alex Roe (“The 5th Wave”) as Ben, a splendid sea biologist who finds himself drawn to a puzzling new lady in town, Ryn, played by Eline Powell (“Game of Thrones”), who is a bizarre immature lady with a low dim secret. Fola Evans-Akingbola (“An American Exorcism”) stars as Maddie, also a sea biologist who works with Ben and is rarely questionable of Ryn. Ian Verdun (“Life’s a Drag”) stars as Xander, a low sea fisherman on a query to expose a truth; and Rena Owen (“Star Wars” Episodes II and III) as Helen, a city individualist who seems to know some-more about a mermaids than she lets on.
Based on a story by Eric Wald and Dean White, Wald wrote a commander teleplay and both he and White offer as executive producers. Scott Stewart (“Dominion”) is directing. Emily Whitesell (“Finding Carter”) is on house as showrunner and executive producer. Brad Luff, Nate Hopper and RD Robb are also trustworthy as executive producers.
