If Carter & Taylor Aren’t Really Twins on ‘Finding Carter,’ It Would Explain A Lot

October 21, 2017 - Finding Carter

If you’re anything like me, we adore a good poser — generally when it’s situated within a context of a teen-centric drama. Luckily for me, Tuesdays are unequivocally bringing it in that sold category.  not usually do we have ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars to weird out over, yet we also have MTV’s mint abduction drama Finding Carter, that has simply turn my new radio obsession. For those who have nonetheless to balance in, Finding Carter is about a 16-year-old lady named Carter who discovers that a overwhelming mom she loves is indeed a lady who kidnapped her 13 years ago. Now, Carter has to cope with her “new/old” family that includes a tightly-wound patrolman mother, a self-described “replacement child” brother, a unsuccessful author dad, and Carter’s obliged twin sister. While a uncover is unequivocally a new kind of family drama, it’s also a poser — we still don’t know because Carter’s kidnapper/mother stole Carter divided from her family. Though fans have a ton of opposite theories, there’s one speculation that competence make a ton of clarity — and it involves Taylor, Carter’s twin sister

As many fans have forked out, Carter looks a lot some-more like her kidnapper, Lori, than she does her biological mom Elizabeth or her twin sister Taylor. While Carter has dark, reddish hair, both Elizabeth and Taylor have lighter locks. Obviously, there’s no reason to contend that hair tone is an involuntary indicator for family, yet given that this is a radio series, a uncover competence be hinting that there is some-more to a abduction story than meets a eye.

There are a lot of reasons that would explain (though not excuse) Lori’s abduction of Carter. Kadeen Griffiths here during Bustle suggested that maybe Lori is Carter’s biological mother — it would explain because Lori would wish Carter so badly. While some fans have suggested that maybe Carter was adopted by Elizabeth and David, there’s also a possibility that Elizabeth and David competence not know that Carter wasn’t unequivocally their biological child.

There are a few ways for this to work, and it all has to do with Carter being Taylor’s sororal twin. Let’s contend that Lori and Elizabeth both went to a sanatorium to have children on a same day. Elizabeth could have had twins — Taylor and another child, whom she named Linden — while Lori had a lady we know as Carter. Due to a switch during a hospital, Linden and Carter could have been switched for one another. (Hey, it happened on Switched during Birth, right?)

Lori appears immature for a mother, that could meant that she had Carter when she wasn’t means to lift her. She could have given adult a strange “Carter” for adoption in a sanatorium (Elizabeth and David’s biological baby) and felt huge regrets about it. Then, for whatever reason — maybe a child she gave adult for adoption was ill and indispensable a biological compare — Lori learns that she’s not indeed a birth mom of a child she gave adult for adoption. She could go find a “real” Carter, meaningful that she is a legitimate mother.

The speculation is complicated, sure, yet it’s one of a few explanations that would both explain Lori’s tie to Carter and Elizabeth and David’s attribute with her. If this speculation is true, afterwards Lori and Elizabeth would both unequivocally trust that Carter is their biological daughter. Though it wouldn’t forgive Lori’s actions (stealing a child is always a no-no, even if we are her biological mother), it would infer that she’s some-more than only that “crazy abduction lady” that Elizabeth believes her to be.

While we substantially won’t know a whole abduction story for a while, I’m vehement to watch a rest of a deteriorate to find out what unequivocally happened.
